EVgo Rewards™ is our driver loyalty program that gives you the opportunity to earn points towards charging credit. Select any of the questions below for more information:

How does the EVgo Rewards™ program work?

If you have already created an account with EVgo, then you are automatically enrolled in the EVgo Rewards™ program. For every dollar you spend charging at an EVgo location, you'll earn 5 points toward charging credit. You can also earn additional points during special promotion periods or for digital actions like engaging with EVgo on social media or exploring our website.

We have a dedicated EVgo Rewards™ portal where you can monitor and redeem your points. When you've earned 2,000 points, you can then redeem those points for a $10 charging credit!


How do I enroll in EVgo Rewards™?

With your EVgo account, you’re automatically enrolled! You can activate your rewards account by logging in at rewards.evgo.com using your EVgo account username and password.

There is no cost to begin earning points. Even with our free Pay As You Go plan, you are automatically enrolled in the EVgo Rewards™ program. 


How do I log in to see my EVgo Rewards™?

Log into the EVgo Rewards™ portal at rewards.evgo.com. You'll use the same login credentials (email and password) that you use to access your EVgo account.

Note: It can take up to 48 hours after you create an EVgo account for our system to fully enroll you in the EVgo Rewards™ portal.


Why am I getting an error when I try to log into the EVgo Rewards™ portal?

While all of our members are automatically enrolled in EVgo Rewards™, our system can take up to 48 hours to complete the process. During times of high demand, this can sometimes take slightly longer.

If you have been enrolled with EVgo for more than 48 hours and continue to see an error, then please submit a request to our dedicated rewards team on the EVgo Charging Crew.

Submit a request if you see the below message 48 hours after enrolling in EVgo!

We’re thrilled you want to activate your EVgo Rewards™ but we’re having trouble verifying your info. If you created your EVgo account within the last 24 hours, it may take up to 48 hours to add you to our EVgo Rewards™ system. Please check back soon. If you’re an existing EVgo customer or have waited 48+ hours and you still can't log in, send us a note at rewards@evgo.com.


Have you updated your email recently?

If the EVgo Rewards™ login error notes an invalid login or password, it can often be related to a change in the email tied to your main EVgo account. If you have updated your email address in your primary EVgo account (via the EVgo app) after you've accessed EVgo Rewards™, then it's possible your old email ID is still linked to your EVgo Rewards™ portal. Please submit a request to the EVgo Charging Crew with a note of your updated email so that they can ensure your login credentials match across your EVgo account and the EVgo Rewards™ portal.


How can I earn points?

Some common ways to earn EVgo Rewards™ points are:

  • Signing into the EVgo Rewards™ portal for the first time at rewards.evgo.com
  • 5 points for every $1 spent on charging sessions at an EVgo charging location
    • Note: You can only earn points for charging at EVgo stations – roaming partners are excluded. Our system does not round up to give additional points for sessions that are $0.99 or less. 
  • Special promotional periods to earn even more points - be sure to opt into our emails for notifications about these offers. Sign up at evgo.com/email.
  • Social media engagement; follow us @evgonetwork

Points will typically appear in your account within 24-48 hours of earning them. If you've met the requirements of a special promotion, there is no need to enroll; however, it can take up to 30 days for any additional promotion points to appear in your EVgo Rewards™ portal. 



To earn points on your charging sessions, the charging session MUST be tied to your EVgo account. If you use a credit card to start a charge instead of your EVgo app or RFID card, the transaction will not be tied to your EVgo account. If the transaction does not appear in your EVgo account, then you will not earn points for it.

If you are unable to start a charge with your EVgo account or RFID card for any reason, please call the EVgo Charging Crew before starting the charge - the team can start a charge for you and link that charging session to your account, ensuring that you receive points. Unfortunately, we are unable to add EVgo Rewards™ points to your account if the charging session is not tied to your EVgo account.


Do I have to enroll or register in individual promotions?

Once you log into the EVgo Rewards™ portal, you're all set! You are not required to register for individual promotions in order to be eligible. Simply fulfill the requirements of a promotion, and we'll post the points to your account after 24 hours.

Please know that for some promotions, points are added or updated manually. It can take up to 30 days for all of these points to appear in your EVgo Rewards™ portal. We appreciate your patience as the team works to add your points as quickly as possible!


Where can I find more information about a specific promotion?

Any details about EVgo Rewards™ promotions are located within the emails you receive about that promotion. The EVgo Charging Crew may be able to provide more details, however EVgo Rewards™ promotions are run by our marketing department.


What if I don't want to receive promotional emails?

From time to time, you'll receive program-related emails from our Marketing team. If you'd prefer to not receive those types of emails anymore, please select the Unsubscribe button when you receive your next email. You can then complete the process to be removed from our mailing list.


Do I earn points using EVgo Roaming Partner chargers?

At this time, EVgo Rewards™ points can only be earned from charging sessions at EVgo stations. You cannot earn EVgo Rewards™ points with our roaming partners, like ChargePoint, even if you use your EVgo plan to use their charger.

If you would like to earn points for your transactions with an EVgo partner, especially if you use that provider for most of your charging sessions, then we recommend creating a membership with our partner's charging network directly.


Why don't I have EVgo Rewards™ points after a charge?

You should see points posted in your EVgo Rewards™ portal within 24 hours of completing a charge and up to 30 days after completing the requirements of a promotion. 

If it has been 48 hours since your last session or you're missing points from multiple sessions, please contact us! You can submit a request to our dedicated EVgo Rewards™ team. They'll be able to look into the issue further and are typically able to provide an update within one business day of your request.

Are you a Member of another EVgo account holder?

Member accounts allow you to use another main EVgo account for charging sessions, transaction history and receipts, as well as accessing your own RFID card and account to start charges. Because Member accounts use payment methods managed by the main account, any Member charging sessions will count toward the main EVgo account for EVgo Rewards™.

How do I check my points balance?

You can find a quick view of your EVgo Rewards™ balance in the EVgo app:

  • Tap the menu icon (☰) > Profile > EVgo Rewards

For any further details about your EVgo Rewards™ balance, you must visit the EVgo Rewards™ portal: rewards.evgo.com. Your current point balance will always be displayed front and center when you log into your account, and you can scroll to see more about your transaction history and progress toward charging credits.


How long do the points last?

There is no expiration date for EVgo Rewards™ points. This means that you can bank your points without limitation and credit can be redeemed at any time.


How do I redeem points?

To redeem points, log into the EVgo Rewards™ portal and scroll to the Redeem Points section. When you reach 2,000 points, you will see an option to redeem them for a $10 charging credit. 

When you click the Redeem button, you'll be asked to confirm. The credit will be added to your main EVgo account within 24-48 hours.


Where can I see my $10 charging credit?

When you redeem your 2,000 points in the EVgo Rewards™ portal, the $10 charging credit will appear in your main EVgo account. You can view your charging credits in the Transactions section of your main EVgo account:

  • From the EVgo app:
    • Tap the menu icon(☰)>Payment & Billing >Transactions
  • On the web (account.evgo.com):
    • Hover over Account in the top right > Billing Transactions

A note about redeemed points:

Your charging credits will not appear in the EVgo Rewards™ portal. After points are redeemed, the portal will display the redemption as Pending to confirm the points have been used. We are working with our Rewards™ partner to clarify this status, and we apologize for any confusion.

Please check your account in the EVgo app to confirm that the charging credit has been successfully added to your account.


After I redeem my points, when can I use the $10 credit?

After points are redeemed in the EVgo Rewards™ portal, it can take up to 48 hours for your charging credits to appear in your main EVgo account. Because there can be a wait period, we encourage you to check your EVgo Rewards™ balance every so often and redeem points when you can. Then you'll be sure to have charging credits ready for your next charging session!
