Vehicle Preferences
If you have added vehicles to your EVgo account, they will appear at the top of your filters screen. The EVgo app will automatically apply filters for the first vehicle profile in your account OR the most recent vehicle you selected in the filters. (The Reset to default option will not reset your vehicle preference).
To swap vehicles, you can:
- Select the vehicle you are looking to charge
- Swipe left or right on your vehicle profiles to select the preferred vehicle
- Tap Add Vehicle to add a new vehicle profile to your account
- Scroll to the bottom of the filters sheet and tap Apply
Connectors
You can filter your search for stations with specific connectors available there. If you've selected a vehicle preference, the EVgo app will automatically select the connectors compatible with your vehicle (this includes compatible Level 2 and fast chargers).
To select or deselect a connector:
- Tap the connector icon or name
- Selected connectors appear in light blue with a green check by the name
- Unselected connectors will have a dark background by the name and no check
- Scroll to the bottom of the filters sheet and tap Apply
Fast Charging (DCFC) Power
If you want to be specific on how much energy a station can deliver, you can adjust the kilowatt (kW) range. We always default this filter to show all stations.
To adjust the kW filters:
- Tap and drag the white slider button you'd like to adjust
- For a minimum kW filter, use the slider button on the left (highlighted below)
- For a maximum kW filter, use the slider button on the right
- Confirm the exact kW settings above the slider bar
- Scroll to the bottom of the filters sheet and tap Apply
Display Battery Range Circle
By default, you'll see a circle on the EVgo map that shows you charging stations within 10 miles of your current location.
You can center the map to your current location with the location icon:
To turn off the battery range circle:
- Tap the checkbox to the right of Display Battery Range Circle
- When enabled, you'll see a light blue check
- When disabled, you'll see an empty box
- Scroll to the bottom of the filters sheet and tap Apply
To adjust the battery range circle:
- Tap and drag the white slider button on the left
- Dragging to the right will increase the range circle; it will decrease when moved to the left.
- You can set the range circle between 1 and 300 miles.
- Confirm the exact distance above the right of the slider bar
- Scroll to the bottom of the filters sheet and tap Apply
Stations with EVgo Reservations™
As the EVgo Reservations™ program continues to grow, the EVgo map filters do not search for reservation-only stations by default. If you are looking to make a reservation near you:
- Open the EVgo map filters
- Scroll to the heading Only Show Stations with EVgo Reservations™
- Tap the checkbox to the right heading
- When enabled, you'll see a light blue check
- When disabled, you'll see an empty box
- Scroll to the bottom of the filters sheet and tap Apply
Show Partner Stations
We want EVgo members to get the most out of their plan, especially in regions where we're not yet available to serve EV drivers. We've partnered with roaming partner networks, such as ChargePoint, in case there is not an EVgo charger nearby that meets your needs.
By default, we do not show EVgo partner networks on the EVgo map. To show partner networks:
- Open the EVgo map filters
- Scroll to find the Show Partner Stations section
- Tap the partner(s) available in your area to show them on the map
- Tap Apply at the bottom of the filters sheet
Note: Some of our partners, like ChargePoint, provide private charging locations to their members. These private stations will not appear on the EVgo map. If you have access to a private location that not all EVgo drivers can access, then you will need to use our partner's app or charging plan to use those stations. |
