Need to make changes to a vehicle profile in your account? Maybe you've recently upgraded to a newer model or would like to assign a nickname to your partner's EV. You'll want to update the vehicles listed in your profile for the best experience using the EVgo map.
Select the platform you're using below for more information on editing and deleting vehicles from your profile:
If you plan to search for charging locations on the go, it's best to add and update your vehicle(s) on the EVgo app. The EVgo web portal (account.evgo.com) does not sync vehicle profiles to the mobile app. By keeping your vehicle 'garage' updated in the EVgo app, you'll always find a location that meets your needs when you search for nearby charging stations. |

Edit your vehicle's nickname on the EVgo app
You are always able to edit the vehicle nickname! The vehicle nickname is especially helpful if you have multiple EVs and multiple Member drivers - the nicknames will simplify assigning a vehicle to a member.
- From the landing page, tap the menu icon (☰) in the top left
- Select Vehicles toward the bottom of the Main Menu panel
- Tap the vehicle you would like to edit from the Vehicles screen
- Tap Edit on the top right of the screen
- From the Edit screen you can edit the Nickname for your vehicle within your EVgo account
- When everything looks good, tap Save
Do you need to change the make, model, or year of the vehicle? You'll need to remove your previous vehicle profile and add a new vehicle to ensure that the exact vehicle is added to your EVgo account. Delete your vehicle on the Evgo app
- From the landing page, tap the menu icon (☰) in the top left
- Select Vehicles toward the bottom of the Main Menu panel
- Tap the vehicle you would like to delete from the Vehicles screen
- Tap Edit on the top right of the screen
- From the Edit screen, tap Delete Vehicle
- Confirm that you want to delete the vehicle profile
- Select Delete to proceed with removing the vehicle from your account
- Select No, thanks if you would not like to move forward
Edit your vehicle on the web (account.evgo.com)
- From the landing page, hover over the Profile menu on the top right
- Select Vehicles at the bottom of the menu options
- If you click Profile, you can then click Vehicles from the left-hand navigation panel
- Click Edit below the vehicle you would like to adjust
- From the Edit page, you can alter the Make, Model, License Plate, and Year of the vehicle
- Select Save Changes when all the details look good
You can only assign vehicle profile a Member user on your account from the EVgo app. If you'd like to assign a specific vehicle to a member, then we recommend you add the vehicle on the EVgo app and assign the member there. |
Delete your vehicle on the web (account.evgo.com)
- From the landing page, hover over the Profile drop-down
- Select Vehicles at the bottom of the menu options
- If you click Profile, you can then click Vehicles from the left-hand navigation panel
- Click Delete below the vehicle you would like to remove from your account
- Confirm that you want to delete the vehicle
- Select Yes, remove this vehicle to proceed with removing the vehicle from your account
- Select Cancel if you would not like to move forward
