Suspend or deactivate an RFID program card

We understand that life happens! If you no longer have your RFID program card - especially if it is lost or stolen - you should immediately suspend or deactivate* the card. 

*Tip from the EVgo Charging Crew: 

  • Suspending your RFID Program Card will allow you to reactivate it if you find it at a later date.  
  • Deactivating the card completely will remove it from your account entirely.

After suspending or deactivating your RFID program card, you can always start a charging session using the EVgo app on your mobile device or request a new program card.

 

 

Suspend or deactivate from the EVgo app

  1. From the landing page, tap the menu icon () in the top left
  2. Select Program Cards within the menu panel
  3. Select the card number you wish to suspend or deactivate
  4. Tap Suspend Card or Deactivate Card

Suspend a card on the web (account.evgo.com)

  1. Select Billing & Payments from the main menu on the left
  2. Select the RFID Program Cards tab at the top of the page
  3. Select the card number you wish to suspend
  4. Scroll to the Manage Card section at the bottom of the page
  5. Click the red Suspend or Deactivate button
  6. Confirm in the pop-up to complete the action
